 Comprehensive Food and Chemical Sensitivity Tests
 The Alcat Test is a highly sensitive objective test for assessing food, chemical and mold sensitivities and intolerances. Such sensitivities affect over 80% of the population while less than 5% of us actually have an IgE or "true" allergy.
The Alcat Test identifies food and chemical sensitivities where the onset of symptoms is longer - hours to days - and varied as typical in chronic conditions.
The ALCAT Test differs from other food allergy or intolerance tests as it accurately and objectively measures leukocyte cellular reactivity in whole blood, which is a final common pathway of all mechanisms. The test utilizes electronic, state of the art, hematological instrumentation. Standard allergy tests, such as skin testing or RAST are not accurate for delayed type reactions to foods and chemicals. They measure only a single mechanism, such as the effect of mast cell release of histamine or the presence of allergen specific IgE molecules. Delayed reactions to foods and chemicals are NOT IgE mediated.
In addition to an IgG response the ALCAT test measures several different parameters of hypersensitivity including leukocyte cellular reactivity, IgA, IgM, IgD, complement, pharmacologic, and toxic. This test will also show you if you are having a reaction to Candida Albicans, gluten or gliadin, and casein or whey.
The ALCAT Test also differs from standard IgG tests in that they rely exclusively on one immune pathway, serum levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG).
The ALCAT Test reproducibly measures the final common pathway of all pathogenic mechanism; whether immune, non-immune, or toxic. It is the only test shown to correlate with clinical symptoms by double blind oral challenges, the gold standard.
Note that the ALCAT tests require blood to be drawn.

Your test is ordered through me in my capacity as a Certified Nutritionist.
 Call the number below or use our secure online shopping cart.
The test kit with full instructions will be sent to you within a few days. A small
shipping and handling fee applies.
Collect the specimens at your convenience and send directly to the independent laboratory.
The test results are sent to me and I will forward a copy to you.
We then schedule a time to discuss the interpretations and implications of
the results and possible nutritional and lifestyle treatment programs appropriate
for you based on your test results.
You'll have the option of working with me further to treat your results and resolve the problems revealed in your testing.
