Know exactly what
your symptoms are really telling you:
Test for Candida
in the privacy of your own home and get a clear & accurate
diagnosis from a medical laboratory.
Candida is a pervasive problem leading to a wide range of symptoms in virtually any system of the body. Because candida mimics many other conditions and illnesses – and visa versa – it is extremely important to get an accurate identification of the presence or absence of candida. Otherwise, you might become like so many clients who have come to me for candida treatment – having spent years following a restrictive anti-candida diet and randomly trying many different remedies to fix their symptoms - without good results.
Truth be told, medical doctors are often not willing to deal with candida or will tell you it is all in your head. Conversely, some of the popularized self-tests and assessments for candida would lead to the discovery that everyone has candida! So it is up to you to get legitimate testing and find out what is really happening for you.
Here at Evenstar we have several different Functional Health Tests available to detect the presence of chronic candida. We have salvia and stool candida tests, plus vaginal and throat cultures available. Plus, we have some specialized tests that highlight the presence of candida in hard to detect circumstances.
Candida testing options:
ALCAT Tests
The ALCAT Food Allergy Test Panels are very accurate in identifying if you have a problem with candida. These tests are blood tests that require blood to be drawn, but you can arrange for a local blood draw with your family doctor or clinic - or Alcat can provide you with a blood draw prescription. All the Alcat Food Allergy Panels include assessment for candida. (the Alcat Chemical, Drug, and Mold Panels do NOT include candida assessment.) There are several Food Allergy Test Panels to choose from and the fee depends on how comprehensive is the panel you choose.

Yeast Panel
This Yeast panel includes a stool culture and a vaginal, nose, or throat swab. This will let you know if you have candida in your gut and a localized candida problem. The fee for the Yeast Panel is $100.
GI Health Panel
Want to know what else might be causing your symptoms and also find out if you do have candida? The GI Health Panel includes the Yeast Panel above plus 22 other individual tests that look at the functioning of your gastro-intestinal tract. The fee for the Expanded GI Health Panel is $385.

DNA Mycology Profile
This test uses DNA analysis to identify the presence of candida. DNA assessment is specific and accurate, avoids the pitfalls of sample transport, reports results as specific numbers, and is more sensitive than classic laboratory methods. This is a much more sensitive test than a normal stool analysis. The Mycology Profile does the DNA analysis for Candida albicans plus other medically important Candida species including: C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, and C. dubliniensis. You collect just 1 stool sample at home and mail it to the lab. The fee for the DNA Mycology Profile is $316.
Fungal/Bacterial Profile
This is a urine / tissue / serum test and requires a blood draw. Fungal infections can manifest in many different places in the body and can ultimately become systemic. This test is suggested when fungal infection is suspected, and/or pro-inflammatory cytokine and chemokine levels are elevated. A variety of selective and non-selective fungal culture media are used. Cultures are held for a minimum of four weeks. Culture includes the identification of the predominant organism or pathogen. Antifungal susceptibility can also be performed if requested for an additional fee. The fee for the Fungal/Bacterial Profile is $300.
Now you have real, bona fide options.
It is well worth it to identify what is happening for you.
